ZINNIA BOWL

This painting is inspired by my love for zinnias. My mother planted them in her garden a lot when I was a child. I always loved the freedom of color they gave out. Their beautiful multi layers of tiny petals and varying sizes. I planted these in my garden recently and was a little surprised that they mostly came up pink (from a variety seed pack) but one or two were orange and I thought they made a nice arrangement in this antique rose bowl. For today it's a zinnia bowl. 

This cheery piece is hand painted 8" x 8" oil on canvas.  The sides are painted for frameless display.
